About the Initiative

Serving society beyond the operating theatre

The Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists – Gujarat State Branch (ISA GSB) has always remained committed not only to advancing the speciality of Anaesthesiology, but also to serving society through public awareness and life-saving initiatives.

One of the most remarkable achievements of ISA Gujarat was the statewide mega initiative for Compression-Only Life Support (COLS) / CPR training and awareness, conducted in collaboration with the Government of Gujarat and in accordance with the guidelines of the Indian Resuscitation Council Federation (IRCF).

This historic initiative brought COLS/CPR training to thousands of people across Gujarat and created a new benchmark in large-scale community life-saving education.

Recognising Every Lifesaver

A special feature of the entire initiative was the recognition of the people who participated in the training programmes. Certificates were provided to the participants and trainers – and they represented more than participation. They symbolised:

Knowledge gained.

Confidence developed.

Thousands of individuals across Gujarat were therefore not merely attendees of a programme – they became part of a growing community of trained lifesavers.
